In the world of retail packaging, it's all about great presentation for less
TRAKRAP is a new and unique secondary packaging system, developed to deliver supermarkets' packaging commitments to achieve:

All pack designs meet exacting Supermarkets' RRP guidelines for identification, presentation, disposal and shelf depth.
TRAKRAP exceeds the Courtaulds 2 Agreement and the EEC Waste Directive in one simple solution. This will be music to the ears of retail sustainability managers and those in charge of reducing waste and increasing recyclability in all sectors.
Our passion is to minimise the amount of packaging needed to protect and display your products all the way from the factory to the shelf. But our passion doesn't stop there, minimizing the amount of waste for recycling is a big part of our thinking...why? Because we want to give you the lowest cost, most environmentally friendly, pack possible.
Our quest for a solution started over 15 years ago, but there was nothing available to give us the step change we wanted to meet our packaging weight and cost goals. Through an intensive Research and Development programme we have developed a state of the art, British designed and built, machine that can wrap a wide variety of packs and is simple and reliable enough to guarantee FMCG manufacturers the 98.5% service level they demand.
The TRAKRAP machine uses a bespoke film, stretched and wrapped around the collated products. This film is then allowed to "shrink" back, bonding the pack together. There is no requirement for any heat, making it an ideal replacement for shrink film and heat tunnels. The absence of heat also means that a vast amount of corrugate can be saved from traditional 0201 and RRP cases in frozen and fresh foods, using new and innovative tray designs.
Continuing increases in electricity and corrugate costs ensure that the savings delivered by the TRAKRAP system keep increasing. The same can be said for the EEC waste directive and Courtaulds agreement where the bar is continually raised. The TRAKRAP solution addresses all these issues in a way that can't be matched by traditional solutions.
Skilled design engineers, build TRAKRAP machines in our engineering facility in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. We are proud to manufacture in Britain and we operate a lean production flow to ensure that the machines are built and tested in the most cost efficient way.
The TRAKRAP machine is designed to have a small efficient footprint – 2.4m x 1.4m and is built in modules to ensure it can be used in a wide variety of applications and updated easily to meet the demands of a changing world. The machines is inherently flexibile with the ability to change speed and output during production – 1-40 packs per minute.
The TRAKRAP system comprises a state of the art machine together with recyclable film to hold and protect your product and, where required, bespoke corrugate designs that work with the film to provide low cost transit and RRP solutions. Our secret, in all cases, is to use less materials and ensure that any shelf ready designs have die cut front faces to show off your product to the maximum effect without untidy, torn, edges.
TRAKRAP wraps products simply and effectively, using a specially developed linear low-density film that is 100% recyclable. It produces the next generation of neat, shelf-ready packs that supermarket packaging and sustainability managers are demanding. This way of wrapping products reduces cardboard use by up to 40% and because TRAKRAP wraps the product, rather than using heat to shrink the wrapping, it uses over 90% less electricity than a traditional shrink tunnel.
TRAKRAP is suitable for a wider range of product categories because no heat is involved in the wrapping of the goods. So chilled, frozen or ambient goods can all be wrapped and retail-ready with the minimum of fuss.
The TRAKRAP system will wrap your product, making it shelf-ready and saving you money in the process, by using less materials and offering efficient delivery to shelf solutions. TRAKRAP wraps using a specially developed linear low-density film that is 100% recyclable. No heat means sell by dates on chilled foods, stay intact, frozen foods stay fully frozen throughout the wrapping process and flammable products such as aerosols can be wrapped safely without risk of explosion. Our solution has been developed specifically to meet new environmental demands, aimed at the top of the pyramid the TRAKRAP system reduces the amount of packaging required and all TRAKRAP packs are 100% recyclable.
This will be music to the ears of retail sustainability managers and those in charge of reducing waste and increasing recyclability in all sectors. For both manufacturing and packaging companies, TRAKRAP is the cost-effective and most flexible system available. Our team of retail professionals understand the needs of FMCG manufacturers and supermarkets alike and have developed strong relationships with corrugate manufacturers to provide tried and tested solutions for a wide variety of pack types. All these solutions meet our goal to be the lowest cost, most environmentally friendly, solution available.
With TRAKRAP the cost per pack will always be less than your existing solution. Take a look at these comparisons below, whether you're replacing a shrink tunnel or wanting to reduce corrugate useage the savings are impressive.
